Eet.

Regina Spektor.
Oh.
My.
Goodness.
I'm not sure why I love her music so much.
Is it that it's catchy?

Possibly.
Is it that it's probablly the only music in today's world that is actually technically sound?

That's definately a contributing factor.
What abut the intense meaningful lyrics?

I guess that could be.
And I just found out that she is writing the music for a new musical.
Just who's gunna be the first one with tickets?

Anderson and Roe

Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Roe.
Oh. My. Freak.
HOLY COW!
This duo is probably the coolest thing since sliced bread.
And we all know how cool that is!
Just watch their hands in this one:
If classical stuff doesn't float your boat try this (I about died when I watched this):
If you don't like Star Wars try their more popular stuff:

The Maiden...Post.

Here it is:
     The Maiden Post.
             The Beginning.
What to talk about?
       Okay I've got something.
               The Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

Okay I'm a music freak...
But that's why I did this blog.
                So deal.
I like this version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWu8ND3SQzU
I don't know why, but this piece just gets me every time.
                It's so crazy good.
The way good ole' Pete weaves every phrase is pretty.
But what's the amazing part is that everything in the entire concerto is conected.
Everything fits together (there's parts that make little hints to previous parts like ten minutes in!).
This is one of those songs that I fall back on when I'm running low on inspiration.
        Or motivation.
                Or anything like that.
So what's your favorite...musical work?
